“Career Month at KNURE” meeting with representatives of Dialog Semiconductor

On October 26, 2021, a meeting with representatives of Dialog Semiconductor was held at the MTS Department as part of the Career Month at KNURE project. The event was joined by teachers, staff and students of the university. Representatives of Dialog Semiconductor spoke in detail about the company, growth opportunities and the existence of engineering companies in general. Issues related to employment and internships of students and graduate students were raised and discussed at the meeting.

As part of KNURE’s participation in the Academic IQ Initiative Project, Academic IQ Head of the MTS Department Iryna Svyd took part in the webinar “What to do with commissioned work?” On October 21, 2021.
During the event, researcher Veronika Krasnichan spoke about the concept of commissioned work, their varieties, as well as international student surveys on the experience of ordering works and the results of these surveys. The potential reasons why students resort to ordering dissertations and dissertations, the consequences of these unscrupulous practices, and how to detect and prevent commissioned work were also discussed.

Speakers of the event: Bohdan Morklyanyk, Natalia Stukalo, Andriy Butenko, Olena Yeremenko, Oksana Bilous, covered current issues of IEC work on educational standards, involvement of international experts in GER’s work, problematic issues of preparation of IEC expert opinion, critical / non-critical remarks in conclusions, changes in Regulations on IEC, etc.

Within the framework of KNURE’s participation in the Academic Integrity and Education Quality Initiative (Academic IQ) Project, the head of the MTS department Svyd IV On September 27, 2021 she took part in the webinar “Spartans of Science: Intervention of Academic Integrity”
The event presented the experience of Michigan State University and Temple Univerisity in creating unique models of the system of academic integrity and evaluation, as well as proposals for the implementation of certain elements of these systems for other universities. Emphasis is also placed on the practical development of academic integrity courses for students and on the aspects that are best included in the content of such courses.

The results of the webometric rating of the university departments for the third quarter of 2021 have been summed up in KNURE.
According to the results of the rating, a group of leading departments was identified, which made a significant contribution to the webometric rating of KNURE. This group includes only one non-graduating department – the Department of MTS.
We thank the staff of the MTS department for a significant contribution to the webometric rating of the university and we wish new achievements!
