On October 26, 2021, a meeting with representatives of Dialog Semiconductor was held at the MTS Department as part of the Career Month at KNURE project. The event was joined by teachers, staff and students of the university. Representatives of Dialog Semiconductor spoke in detail about the company, growth opportunities and the existence of engineering companies in general. Issues related to employment and internships of students and graduate students were raised and discussed at the meeting.

As part of KNURE’s participation in the Academic IQ Initiative Project, Academic IQ Head of the MTS Department Iryna Svyd took part in the webinar “What to do with commissioned work?” On October 21, 2021.
During the event, researcher Veronika Krasnichan spoke about the concept of commissioned work, their varieties, as well as international student surveys on the experience of ordering works and the results of these surveys. The potential reasons why students resort to ordering dissertations and dissertations, the consequences of these unscrupulous practices, and how to detect and prevent commissioned work were also discussed.

As part of KNURE’s participation in the Academic Integrity and Education Quality Initiative (Academic IQ) Project, Head of the MTS Department Iryna Svyd took part in the webinar “The System of Academic Integrity at Thomson Rivers University” on October 20, 2021.

On October 12, 2021, a webinar was held for members of sectoral expert councils (IEC) of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education in the field of knowledge. The event was attended by a member of GER-17, Head of MTS Svyd I.
Speakers of the event: Bohdan Morklyanyk, Natalia Stukalo, Andriy Butenko, Olena Yeremenko, Oksana Bilous, covered current issues of IEC work on educational standards, involvement of international experts in GER’s work, problematic issues of preparation of IEC expert opinion, critical / non-critical remarks in conclusions, changes in Regulations on IEC, etc.

Within the framework of KNURE’s participation in the Academic Integrity and Education Quality Initiative (Academic IQ) Project, the head of the MTS department Svyd IV and Deputy Director of the Library for Information Technology Vlashchenko LG On October 11, 2021, they took part in the webinar “What is needed for the Center for Quality Assurance in Education to work”.
The event discussed aspects of the activities of the Centers for Quality Assurance in Education, which are important to consider when planning and budgeting the activities of educational institutions; institutional support of the Center for Quality Assurance in Education for effective work, etc. The format of the webinar involved involving all participants in practical work and discussion using online platforms Mentimeter.

On October 11, the STEM Girls Branch, established at the MTS Department, joined the celebration of the National Girls’ Day in Technology 2021.
The girls from the Branch attended the online conference of the Poltava Branch, and had the opportunity to learn about the world of “technology” from the inside!
The speaker from the Kharkiv company SoftServe acquainted with the peculiarities of their activities and told how girls and women can build their careers in technology.

Head of the Department Svid IV took part in a series of webinars on 29.10, 01.10, 04.10.2021: “The use of permanent identifiers of scientists and institutions, their role in the scientific ecosystem. ORCID master classes for scientists “.
The State Scientific and Technical Library (SSTL) of Ukraine with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in cooperation with ORCID held a series of webinars. Webinars are designed for heads of higher education / research institutions, Ukrainian scientists, editors and members of editorial boards of scientific publications, librarians, research information providers, donors, young scientists, higher education seekers, masters, students and all supporters of open science.

Employees and graduate students of MTS took part in the IEEE International Conferenceon Problems of Infocommunications Science and Technology (PIC S&T′2021), which took place on October 5-7, 2021 on the basis of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, Kharkiv, Ukraine.

The National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education has made a positive decision on accreditation for a period of five years of the educational and scientific program “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering” of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education in “172 Telecommunications and Radio Engineering”.

Career Month is held from October 1 to October 31 at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics. Partner companies have prepared presentations, webinars, testing, competitions and other activities for students.

Within the framework of KNURE’s participation in the Academic Integrity and Education Quality Initiative (Academic IQ) Project, the head of the MTS department Svyd IV On September 27, 2021 she took part in the webinar “Spartans of Science: Intervention of Academic Integrity”
The event presented the experience of Michigan State University and Temple Univerisity in creating unique models of the system of academic integrity and evaluation, as well as proposals for the implementation of certain elements of these systems for other universities. Emphasis is also placed on the practical development of academic integrity courses for students and on the aspects that are best included in the content of such courses.

The results of the webometric rating of the university departments for the third quarter of 2021 have been summed up in KNURE.
According to the results of the rating, a group of leading departments was identified, which made a significant contribution to the webometric rating of KNURE. This group includes only one non-graduating department – the Department of MTS.
