Every year, the “Development of STEM” Center, in collaboration with SAP, selects the top 20 inspirational women in STEM—a unique community of women who have had successful careers in science and technology. Among the top 20 are top managers from technical companies, scientists, representatives of ministries, universities, and public organizations.

We invite you to participate in the 5th Forum on “Automation, Electronics, and Robotics. Development Strategies and Innovative Technologies” (AERT-2023), which will take place on November 29-30, 2023, in a remote format, hosted by the Department of МТS at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, Kharkiv, Ukraine. Publication of abstracts is FREE.

Forum Objectives: To discuss current issues in the application of innovations in the fields of automation, electronics, and robotics; exchange experiences on implementing and utilizing Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 concepts for the needs of modern society; establish ways to integrate science, education, and industry to meet the goals of sustainable societal development.

On October 13-14, Irina Svyd, the head of the MTS department, participated in the IP&I Management Forum: How to commercialize your innovative product and make money? Participation in the forum was an important step towards achieving sustainable development goals in the field of education and partnership.

The forum was organized under the patronage of Andriy Anisimov, the Chief of the Intellectual Property and Innovation Department at the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, Olena Orlyuk, the Director of the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation, as well as Ivan Kulchytsky, the President of the European Innovation Agency.

In June, the V International Scientific and Practical Conference “Knowledge-Intensive Technologies in Infocommunications” took place, with the participation of the staff and postgraduates of the MTS department.

After the V International Scientific and Practical Conference “Knowledge-Intensive Technologies in Infocommunications” (NIST’2023), Professor V.M. Bezruk, the head of the conference’s program committee, presented a report on the conference’s organization and the event’s program. A collection of participants’ presentations will be published shortly.

On June 24-25, Oleksandr Datsenko, a postgraduate student from the Department of Microprocessor Technologies and Systems (MTS), took part in the second annual “Anti-Shahed” Drone Hackathon. During the event, 50 teams presented projects for representatives of Ukraine’s security and defense forces. Based on the evaluations, three winners were selected, who presented the most efficient and effective projects. Each of them will receive 1 million dollars to implement and scale their technological developments aimed at countering enemy drones.

The “Anti-Shahed” Drone Hackathon brought together developers, engineers, cybersecurity specialists, and enthusiasts who create advanced systems and technologies for detecting, tracking, and neutralizing enemy drones. The projects were evaluated by experts from various branches and types of armed forces, military structures, and digital technologies.

Despite the war and challenging conditions, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics managed to enter the first release of the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2024.

This new ranking has been compiled to replace the regional QS EECA ranking.

The Head of the Department of MTS, Svid I.V., as part of the achievement of the 4th UN Global Goal for Quality Education, completed a professional development course and participated in the Uni-Biz Bridge project by UGEN on the topic of “Teacher Adaptability and Flexibility.”
