On June 24-25, Oleksandr Datsenko, a postgraduate student from the Department of Microprocessor Technologies and Systems (MTS), took part in the second annual “Anti-Shahed” Drone Hackathon. During the event, 50 teams presented projects for representatives of Ukraine’s security and defense forces. Based on the evaluations, three winners were selected, who presented the most efficient and effective projects. Each of them will receive 1 million dollars to implement and scale their technological developments aimed at countering enemy drones.
The “Anti-Shahed” Drone Hackathon brought together developers, engineers, cybersecurity specialists, and enthusiasts who create advanced systems and technologies for detecting, tracking, and neutralizing enemy drones. The projects were evaluated by experts from various branches and types of armed forces, military structures, and digital technologies.
The “Anti-Shahed” Drone Hackathon was initiated by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and the Ministry of Infrastructure as part of the “Army of Drones” project. Its aim is to find innovative and effective solutions to counter hostile unmanned aircraft. This initiative contributes to the development of the 15th mission of the UN – Peace and Justice.
