On September 20, 2023, the State Service for Quality of Education in Ukraine convened educators for the Education Quality Forum. From the MTS Department, the Head of the Department, I.V. Svyd, participated. The key topic of the discussion was ensuring the quality of education in times of war with a focus on victory.

How to maintain the quality of education during wartime? Should the quality of a school’s work be evaluated during wartime, and what is the global experience in assessing schools during crisis situations? What strategic decisions can be made to ensure the quality of education? What tools does the State Service for Quality of Education have to ensure the quality of education? These and other questions were discussed by participants at the event.

On September 26th, at the Artificial Intelligence Day, you will learn what it takes to become an AI developer, the challenges you will face, and how artificial intelligence can help with your studies right now. According to experts from GlobalLogic, this is the most promising IT field today. Statistics in the IT job market show that the number of vacancies related to generative AI is constantly growing. So, it will be extremely beneficial for students.

On September 15th, an online meeting with master’s students at the faculty and the MTS department took place. At the beginning of the meeting, the dean of the IRTZI faculty, Professor Sergiy Mykolayovych Sakalo, welcomed the students and introduced his deputies and heads of specialized departments. The dean’s welcoming speech was filled with words of support and a desire to achieve great success in their studies. Students were introduced to the rules of internal regulations at KhNURE and the faculty’s leadership.

The head of the department, Associate Professor Iryna Viktorivna Svyd, greeted the master’s students and emphasized the importance of the chosen specialization for them. She also expressed her joy about this being the first intake of master’s students at the department, highlighting the opportunity to study such a promising field.

Employees of the Department of Microprocessor Technologies and Systems at Kharkiv National University, V.S. Chumak, O.V. Zubkov, and O.G. Bilocerkivets, have successfully completed a professional development course provided by SoftServe Academy. This innovative course covered various aspects of modern education and technology, and the department’s staff have effectively acquired all the necessary knowledge and skills.

Today, as our country faces trials and tests in the challenging conditions of war, we particularly feel the deep meaning and significance of the word “independence.” Our state, our people, by defending their rights and dignity, demonstrate the will to live free and independent. At this time, it is more important than ever to maintain unity, strength, and an unwavering belief in the bright future of our country.

Assistants of the department, Chumak V.S. and Bilotserkivets O.G. , successfully completed a qualification enhancement course titled “IT Tools for Educators” organized by GlobalLogic Education from July 4th to August 3rd, 2023.

This online course, consisting of 2-3 sessions per day, provided participants with the opportunity to interact with experts, receive comprehensive answers to all questions, and focus on key aspects of teaching using modern technologies. Access to educational materials and additional resources enabled deep understanding of the subject matter and its practical application.

The “Girls in STEM” branch has confirmed its status for the 2022-2023 academic year.

The branch team based on the MTS department has submitted a report on their activities for the 2022-2023 academic year, thereby confirming the branch’s status and receiving a confirming certificate. Branch coordinators have summarized the previous year’s activities and created a plan for initiatives for the upcoming year. The #GirlsInSTEM branch at the MTS department has been active since 2020, consistently confirming its status.

While our future bachelors are actively deciding which educational program of First among the best to prioritize, the Admissions Committee is rushing to assist those who plan to apply for a Master’s degree.
