As part of #ErasmusDays #ErasmusUA 2020, the MTS KNURE department hosted a webinar “Implementation of European practices in the formation of technical courses on the design of devices on microcontrollers and FPGA” with a live broadcast on the MTS department’s Facebook page.

The fourth #ErasmusDays will be special thanks to the extremely remote format! And it will really cover the whole of Europe and the whole world!

The international event #ErasmusDays is based on a very simple idea: to raise the awareness of as many citizens, professionals, media and decision-makers as possible about European values, mobility benefits and the results of Erasmus + projects for three days – ErasmusDays October 15-17, 2020

October 14 – Defender of Ukraine Day in Ukraine is celebrated in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine of October 14, 2014 № 806/2014. The holiday is set in support of the public initiative honoring the courage and heroism of the defenders of independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, military traditions and victories of the Ukrainian people, further strengthening the patriotic spirit in society.
October 14 – The Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks is celebrated in Ukraine in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine of August 7, 1999 № 966/99. This holiday was made taking into account the historical significance and merits of the Cossacks in the establishment of Ukrainian statehood and its significant contribution to the modern process of state formation.

Iryna Svyd, Head of the MTS Department, took part in a webinar on the presentation and discussion of the National Cluster Development Program until 2027.

Creation of a cluster committee on the Industry4Ukraine platform, tasks by the end of 2020 (L. Shiyko, Prykarpattia Eco-Energy Cluster, O. Bratus, Mykolayiv RinnoHub Cluster).

This year our university celebrates a significant date – the 90th anniversary of its founding (1930-2020). We invite everyone to take part in our online celebration “90th anniversary of KNURE. Success story. Festive online broadcast of the anniversary will take place on the Youtube channel NURE TV University on October 16, beginning at 11:00.

From the beginning of the autumn semester of 2020-2021 academic year, the MTS department has two laboratories with support for remote access to equipment (online laboratory), where students can create a project in real time and test its viability outside the laboratory. Laboratory classes are conducted using the Moodle platform (dl.nure.ua), video conferencing in Google Hangouts Meet and remote access to PCs and laboratory layouts.

Students and faculty use the remote TeamViewer software package to remotely access PCs in labs. Adjustment of laboratory equipment and support during laboratory work is carried out by teaching and support staff of the department.
The latest equipment is used for laboratory work, which has the ability to connect to a PC. Laboratory models and oscilloscopes are fully controlled by a personal computer. And with the help of the camera the work of the laboratory model is broadcast on the monitor. This allows you to remotely upload projects to lab layouts and view their results on a computer monitor using specialized software.
This approach to conducting laboratory work on models of device design on microcontrollers allows students to acquire skills in working with hardware, practical skills in programming microcontrollers and provides students with additional skills of remote work with hardware.

On October 8, 2020, Iryna Svyd, Head of the MTS Department, took part in an online meeting with Progrestech-Ukraine Oleksiy Tretyakov, Human Resources Manager, made a presentation for Progrestech-Ukraine to KNURE employees and students. The main directions of the company’s work were outlined and the company’s achievements at the international level were presented.

Employees of the MTS Department took part in the IEEE International Conference on Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies (PIC S&T 2020), which took place on October 6-10, 2020 at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, Kharkiv, Ukraine. On September 30, 2020, the Constituent Meeting of the Public Union “Kharkiv Cluster” Engineering – Automation – Mechanical Engineering “(Kharkiv Cluster IAM) took place. The creation of the cluster was initiated by a number of organizations and institutions of the city and in accordance with the signed Memorandum of Cooperation between APPAU and Kharkiv City Council.
As part of the group from KNURE, the head of the MTS department Svid IV took part in the Constituent Assembly of the Kharkiv IAM cluster. According to the results of the constituent assembly: the Charter was approved, the governing bodies were formed, the General Director was elected – all this allows to start the process of registration of the public union “Kharkiv Cluster IAM”. This association is aimed at increasing the economic potential of the Kharkiv region.

According to the Law of Ukraine “On protection of rights to inventions and utility models” in the State Register of Patents of Ukraine for utility models from 27.07. 2020 registered patents of employees of the MTS department:

Scientific and pedagogical staff of the MTS department, head of the department Svyd I. and associate professor Saikivska L. participated in a series of seminars from Clarivate Analytics in Ukraine to support users who gained access to the Web of Science platform.
Seminars are devoted to topical issues:

Selection of publications for the Main Collection of Web of Science: quality criteria,  rocedure rating;
Using the basic Web of Science collection for scientific work;
Publishing strategy of the scientist;
InCites analytical tool capabilities;
Antiplagiarism system: correct use by editors and authors of modern means of detecting borrowings.
