Unity Day of Ukraine

On January 22, the Ukrainian people celebrate the Day of the Unity of Ukraine. It was on this day in 1919 that the union of the Ukrainian People’s Republic and the West Ukrainian People’s Republic was solemnly announced on the square in front of Sophia of Kyiv.
This event marked the fulfillment of age-old dreams of many generations of Ukrainians. After all, the unity of our state means the integrity of our land and the unity of our aspirations on the way to building a prosperous and prosperous Ukraine. A mutual willingness to work to ensure that peace, law and prosperity reign in our common home is inseparable from a sense of national freedom and dignity.
This holiday reminds us, especially the younger generation, that Ukraine is not divided, that there is no separate Eastern and Western Ukraine, and that we have a single state, and we are a single people!
