Participation in the annual online business conference “Research and Development in the Recovery Process: What Can Horizon Europe Offer?”

As the European Commission develops its plans and priorities for the next decade, research and innovation (R&D) are consistently highlighted as critical to overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as its long-term green, digital transformation and global competitiveness. However, the first signs suggest that this rhetoric may be limited by political and economic realities.

So as Horizon Europe prepares to launch, serious questions remain as to whether the Commission can establish a real synergy between Horizon and other flagship instruments such as InvestEU, Fair Transition and Innovation Funds or Digital Europe. And in a global context, can Europe really count on achieving its strategic goals in areas such as climate without China (and the US) on board?

February 22 and 23 Science | Business has convened leading figures from across its own network and international spectrum to address these issues more deeply.

Representatives of the MTS KNURE Department joined the conference and got acquainted with the latest plans, priorities and trends of innovative development within Horizon Europe.
