Employees of the department joined the discussion panel “Collaboration of IT companies and educational institutions in response to the lack of qualified professionals”
On January 26, 2022, the staff of the MTS Department joined the discussion panel on “Collaboration of IT companies and educational institutions in response to the lack of qualified professionals.” The event was organized and attended by owners and managers of IT companies, rectors of advanced higher education institutions and USAID representatives.
The focus of the discussion was on the reforms of IT education in 2022, the involvement of entrants in IT specialties and the role of IT companies in the development of education.During the meeting, the results of the Open4Talents project were presented together with representatives of IT companies, universities, local and regional councils:
– main results of the initiative for key stakeholders;
– project results, possible ways to develop and improve the initiative;
– information on key steps of the project with regional partners.

About the project
The IT Kharkiv: Open4talents initiative was launched in a broad partnership of CEP with the Kharkiv IT Cluster with the involvement of IT companies, universities, city and regional councils. The following initiatives were created within the project:
– Videos illustrating opportunities for IT education and career development in Kharkiv IT companies
– Research comparing income and expenses for IT professionals in different IT locations in Ukraine and Europe
– Trainings on content improvement for freelance specialists who will help them attract future entrants
– Web portal of IT professions, chatbots, telegram channels
– Web portal of entrants
– Recruitment activities to promote the brands of the employer of Kharkiv IT companies and attract potential non-Kharkiv candidates for open vacancies.
