Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation

On May 8, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation. This date is a sign that decades later we, as a people, remember the horrors of the war and honor the feat of those who liberated our land from the fascist invasion. The Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation should be a reminder of the terrible disaster and a warning for the future.

For the second year in a row, Ukraine is celebrating this memorable date in the conditions of Russia’s modern full-scale war against Ukraine, which is currently the largest war in Europe since World War II. Many of the horrors of war, which were previously associated with the last global conflict, became a reality in Ukraine as a result of the war crimes of the Russian army and the leadership of the Russian Federation.

Never again.
We remember, we win.
