Conference “Ukrainian women in science applauded by the world”

The STEM Girls branch, established at the MTS Department, joined the online conference “Ukrainian Women in Science that Applauds the World” on February 11 from the STEM Girls initiative and L’Oreal Ukraine. The event is timed to the International Day of Girls and Women in Science and is designed to interest schoolgirls and students to pay more attention to the subjects of the natural cycle and further development in the scientific field. During the broadcast, the finalist scientists of the 4th season of the Ukrainian L’Oréal-UNESCO Award “For Women in Science” spoke about their path to recognition of what they are currently working on and how to integrate science into their lives.

Among the invited scientists:
-Anna Kosogor, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (Theoretical Physics). Institute of Magnetism of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
-Anna Ostroverkh, Doctor of Technical Sciences (Materials Science). IM Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
-Katerina Terebilenko, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor (Chemical Sciences. Inorganic Chemistry). Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv

Participants also had the opportunity to ask their questions during the minute of “questions and answers”.
Such meetings are inspiring. The activities of the #GirlsSTEM Branch, which is part of the project “Springboard to Equality” with the financial support of the Government of Sweden contributes to the development of the CSB of the University.
