Participation in the webinar “Satellite monitoring – as a driver of digital transformation”

Representatives of the MTS Department on April 12, 2021 took part in the webinar “Satellite Monitoring – as a driver of digital transformation”, which was held with the support of the European Union and the International Renaissance Foundation under the grant component of the EU4USociety project.
The purpose of the webinar is to present the possibilities of using satellite monitoring data in various fields of research and economics and public life, as well as the experience of the Ukrainian organization of the ERA-Planet project Horizon 2020 and prospects for new projects in the context of expected Horizon Europe competitions.

The main messages of the webinar:
Experience of participation in the Horizon 2020 program. This will be presented on the example of digital innovations of the ERA-PLANET project of the Horizon 2020 program. Research – solving applications based on the processing of large amounts of data from the European Space Agency on cloud platforms.
Innovative view from the satellite. Important developments and innovative solutions of Ukraine in the field of satellite monitoring (for monitoring the condition of crops, environmental monitoring, urban development planning) are important for your attention.
ERA in Ukraine. The experience of NASU in the development of the Ukrainian segment of the European Research Area on the example of ERA-Planet is important here. Participants will be introduced to the prospects of cooperation between research institutions and universities.
Digital transformation in Ukraine. You will be able to get acquainted with examples and prospects of application of results of processing of satellite data in public administration of Ukraine
Scientific horizons. We will discuss open issues in the field of applied mathematics and information technology. Let’s outline promising areas of research in the field of satellite monitoring, where we can expect a synergistic effect on the cooperation of various scientific institutions.
